On June 25, Commerce City celebrated the graduation of 23 inspiring graduates, including 9 Commerce City residents, who took a major step forward by earning their GED, and we could not be prouder to be part of their story.
In 2025, Commerce City partnered with Metropolitan State University of Denver to launch a GED preparation program as part of the Workforce Development Program, with a simple but powerful mission: remove barriers and create opportunities for our residents to achieve their educational goals. Thanks to no-cost classes in English and Spanish, flexible schedules, childcare during sessions, and hybrid learning options, the program was built to meet people where they are and support them every step of the way.
To our graduates, congratulations! You have shown dedication, courage, and perseverance, and this achievement opens doors to new possibilities for you and your families. You just took a huge step forward, and your Commerce City community is celebrating right alongside you.
