Light Rail & Bus Service
Commerce City is served by the North Metro Commuter Rail Line (the N Line), an 18.5 mile commuter rail line running from the Denver Union Station through Commerce City and further north. The N Line connects the northern metro area to the rest of the greater Denver region and the airport. The N Line stop is located at E. 72nd Ave. and Colorado Blvd. Regional Transportation’s District (RTD) provides various bus routes throughout the city as well. Freight
Two main freight railroads have lines that run through Commerce City
- Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF)
- Union Pacific
There are also five transload facilities within the city for rail transport of dry and liquid bulks, aggregate, construction materials, heavy equipment and other commodities.
