Register for free GED preparation classes in August

Commerce City is proud to partner with Metropolitan State University’s Family Literacy Program to offer FREE GED classes for residents ages 18 and older. This exciting opportunity is part of the city’s Workforce Pathway Program, helping residents build valuable skills for future career and education goals.

Classes are offered in English and Spanish with flexible scheduling options. By committing to attend class regularly and completing the required weekly homework, you can take a big step toward earning your GED, at no cost to you, starting on Monday, Aug. 24. 

Opportunities to register*
*Note: You must register in-person at Central Elementary located at 6450 Holly St. Commerce City, CO 80022

  • Monday, Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 12:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Program Highlights:

  • Hybrid classes in English & Spanish
  • 4 hours of online homework each week using Aztec
  • Childcare provided during class sessions
