Mark your calendars for Small Business Saturday, happening this year on Saturday, Nov. 29, and take the opportunity to support the small businesses that make Commerce City a vibrant and thriving community. Held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this day is dedicated to celebrating and supporting the entrepreneurs, artisans, and retailers who contribute so much to our local economy. 

Small businesses are the backbone of Commerce City, offering jobs, fostering innovation, and creating a unique sense of community. When you shop locally, you’re not just making a purchase, you’re investing in your neighbors, supporting families, and keeping dollars circulating in our economy. From cozy cafes and boutique shops to professional services and handmade goods, Commerce City is home to over 150 small businesses offering a wide range of products and services. 

This year, shopping local is more rewarding than ever! Thanks to the Commerce City Economic Development team, the city offers the Open Rewards program to help residents earn cash back for supporting local businesses. Typically, Open Rewards users earn 5% cash back on purchases at over 350 local participating businesses. However, for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29 only, the cashback rate will be increased to a 7% for small businesses!
